Fall Guys was inconsistent this Tuesday (21), causing players to not be able to find games when they played. According to its official Twitter account, the free title will have issues on its servers from today. The profile even made a joke about it and said the situation was being resolved. According to the Downdetector website, the problem started around 11 a.m. and more than 82 complaints have been received in less than an hour. At around 12:50 PM, the site recorded a new spike in reporting. ○ TechTudo Epic Games was contacted for an official position on the issue, but has yet to hear back.
It’s worth remembering that Fall Guys is free for PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Those who have already purchased the game on older Sony consoles or on Steam will have access to the Legacy Pack with unique items in addition to the first season pass.

In its official profile, the team behind the game teased the issue. According to them, the cake celebrating the game’s relaunch (now free to play) would have landed on the servers, but those parts are already being cleaned up to remove the frosting.
It’s an odd claim that the situation is being resolved, and the response to the tweet didn’t bring much criticism of the game.
Still, other users complained about server downtime. Many claim they can’t find a match and the title is constantly looking for players. The issue reportedly involves different platforms, including Sony consoles that have run the game before, as well as Xbox devices getting the title in the new release.
On Downdetector, a platform that monitors different servers, complaints also point to connection and login issues, in addition to matchmaking in itself. The site recorded a reporting peak at 11.26am with 84 complaints. After about an hour, the number dropped to 9, indicating an improvement, but rose again around 12:50.
The official Fall Guys Twitter talks about it again (and continues in a joking tone): According to them, cleaning takes time because the icing is already dry, and the ants that help eat the icing end up making it worse.
Originally published by Mediatonic, Fall Guys came out in 2020 and found success in the first few months of social isolation due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The game is a battle royale with a frenetic matchup where players have to knock each other out until there’s only one left, and was initially only available for PS4 and PC via Steam.
In 2021, the studio was acquired by Epic Games, which took over the title. The main move under the new direction is precisely “opening” as a free-to-play game, free for the original platform and reaching other devices, in addition to being available on the Epic Games Store itself.
