The wallet will run on Ethereum’s Loopring Layer 2 scalability protocol, designed for decentralized exchange, which boasts high throughput, low cost trading and the ability to pay.

Users will be able to download and install the Wallet extension through the Chrome Web Store. Like Metamask’s Chrome extension, GameStop Wallet will be integrated with its upcoming NFT Marketplace, which is expected to launch in the second quarter of the company’s fiscal year.

GameStop announced a partnership with ImmutableX in February 2022, with the Ethereum NFT scaling platform to develop the famous real-world video game retailer’s custom NFT marketplace.

An announcement earlier this year stated that the market would be 100% carbon neutral without gas fees. The two companies are also committed to a $ 100 million grant program to attract potential creators and developers of NFT content, which will be provided in IMX tokens.

GameStop’s NFT initiative has been in the works since May 2020, when the company first applied to sign up for its team of software engineers specializing in Solidarity, React and Python. A beta version of the GameStop NFT marketplace with loopring technology was announced in March 2022 by the Layer 2 scalability protocol.

Non-custodial multi-chain cryptocurrency wallets are proving to be an important focal point for companies seeking to establish a firm foothold as Web3 continues to grow. The main US cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase in May 2022 integrated Web3 app functionality with a wallet and browser for a select group of its mobile app customers. It will include tokens and access to popular decentralized exchanges such as trading, currency swap, uniswap and opency in the NFT market. Decentralized Financial Debt Protocol.

Coinbase is not the only exchange seeking to improve its offers, as the commission-free trading platform Robinhood promotes an upcoming non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet with access to multiple blockchains. The wallet will allow storage and access to the NFT market.
